Key Responsibilties

  • Provide medical input for all Clinical Development activities for Addex Pharmaceuticals S.A.
  • The position reports to the Chief Medical Officer and Head of the Medical Department

 


Specific tasks and responsibilities include

  • Design and implementation of pre-registration clinical development programmes for Addex’ NCEs
  • Involvement in the design and set up of clinical trials in the EU and US, including protocol medical input and review, supplier selection, site selection, Key Opinion Leader identification and liaison
  • Medical support of ongoing clinical trials, including patient safety surveillance (in conjunction with CRO where appropriate), Sponsor Medical Contact responsibilities, AE and conmed coding reviews
  • Medical review of clinical trial data and clinical study reports
  • Provide medical advice to Clinical Development Managers
  • Provide medical support to Regulatory Affairs. Writing and review of appropriate sections of key regulatory documents for US and EU.
  • Provide medical support to Non-Clinical Development as required
  • Set up and participate in clinical advisory board meetings to support the ongoing clinical development activities for each development programme.

 


Candidates will

  • be a board certified physician. Specialisation in gastroenterology, neurology, endocrinology or rheumatology an advantage but not essential
  • Diploma of Pharmaceutical Medicine or equivalent desirable
  • have a minimum of 4 years experience working in early to mid phase clinical development, in an international environment.
  • have a good working knowledge of EU and US regulations pertaining to clinical research
  • be an excellent team player with a hands on collaborative approach to work
  • be proactive and use initiative to find creative solutions to problems
  • be detail orientated, conscientious and able to prioritise
  • have excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • willing to be based in Geneva
